‘The Boy in the Striped Pajamas': Poignant and haunting
By Roger Moore The Orlando Sentinel
Moviegoers can be forgiven for feeling a little Holocaust fatigue. There have been so many films about the subject or using it as a backdrop that there's no shame in feeling a bit numb to it all. By Roger Moore The Orlando Sentinel
Disney animation takes a tentative step out of Pixar's shadows with Bolt, a winning 3-D-animated action-comedy that marries the best Disney traditions with Pixar polish. This road comedy of a lost TV star dog doesn't rival the classics from Disney's computer-animation pioneer partners, but it's the first in-house Disney animation — after the middling Chicken Little, The Wild and Meet the Robinsons — to bear comparison to the Pixar gold standard.
